Prism #1 Prism #2 ***I will take better documentation photos tomorrow during round-table discussions and post them to the blog.*** I have finally finished the assembly of both of the prisms. The first prism was a real headache to assemble at times. Due to the laser cutter being down, it had damaged some of my material, so there are little stress fractures around the perimeter of some of the pieces. The real struggle was finding the little nuts and bolts to be used in the joinery. I went to them, but they were not of a size carried at retail. Several shops and they could only be ordered special. I eventually did get the screws, but they did not fit perfectly into the joinery pieces I had laser cut, but eventually, we did manage to get them to fit and slotted all of the acrylic slides. It looks much better without the epoxy holding all the mirrors together and is more structurally sound. I want to find a more reflective surface for the mirror's backside.
